(The last time I had a giveaway, you guys were predicting if I’d have an Andrew or a Sarah. Whoa. Time flies.)

OK. So by now you’ve heard me mention lesson pathways a time or two. I’m totally digging this service. In summary, it’s an on-line resource goldmine for lesson plans that you can use as a pre-planned curriculum or a pick-and-choose-what-you-want kind of thing. My review? Totally. Awesome.
Here’s the description from their website:
The Internet provides a wealth of knowledge you can use in your homeschool program. Unfortunately, finding the right lesson or activity at the right time can be both difficult and time-consuming. If your child suddenly declares a passion for the study of electricity, you don’t want to waste time scouring the Internet for reading materials and fun projects; you want to get right down to the business of exploring his interest. Likewise, if you’ve decided to teach your child about the American Revolution, you’ll want an easy source of information that will allow you to make history come alive for your child.
LessonPathways.com was designed to help you use the Internet to your advantage while reserving plenty of time to teach your children and enjoy other activities. This innovative educational tool provides prescreened Pathway units for Years K through 5, covering the core subjects of history, language arts, math, and science. You’ll find a wide range of resources in each unit, including reading material, worksheets, videos, games, experiments, and hands-on activities.
And guess what? You don’t have to just take my word for it. They offer free trial subscriptions AND! this week they’re giving away a FREE one-year full subscription to one of my lucky readers!

regarding lesson pathways, i like that you can “assign” this and keep track of the ideas you run across and develop a long term plan. plus, i like that all the resources are listed together, including online videos and other lessons one could use to expand.
thanks, julie.
