WFMW: Staying on top of the laundry.

Hey fellow WFMW’ers!

Laundry. Oh the laundry. It ’s never ever finished, is it?

It seems to get worse in the summertime. Bruce is much dirtier from, ahem, the cows. Abby and Nathan are always running around getting wet somehow, and Sarah’s just messy in general. How to stay on top of it??

Well, I do not mean to misrepresent myself in any way, internet. I am by no means always on top of things, especially in the house cleaning realm. As far as the laundry goes - there are usually piles of folded clothes always waiting to be put away but I can say that we never have laundry baskets of clothes laying around waiting to be washed or folded.

You wanna know the secret?

Prepare to be shocked: The reason we don’t have laundry baskets full of clothes laying around is because WE DO NOT HAVE LAUNDRY BASKETS.

We keep the clothes going by:

1. Always doing a load at night before bed.
2. The clean clothes go straight from the dryer to the recliner in the living room. It’s a chair that we like to use so we’re more likely to get stuff out of there.
3. The kids can help get the clothes out of the dryer and they can help sort and put away.

So there you have it! The way to not have laundry baskets full of clothes waiting to be washed or folded? BANISH THE LAUNDRY BASKETS FROM YOUR HOUSE!

(Or at least find an alternate use for them! :)

That’s a great idea. I was just thinking we needed *another* laundry basket, but you are very right and we will not be buying one.
